Smooth - happy New Year! I also want to say congratulations to President Obama, who was reelected since the last time SMOOTH published an issue. We as a nation have quite a lot of expectations, such as immigration reform, gun control, and a helping hand for Governor Romney's so-called 47 percenters, for starters. It's going to be a hard road, but we wish the president well!
As we venture into 2013, we have a lot of plans of our own here at SMOOTH. On the Chinese calendar, this is the Year of the Snake, and we intend to be just that: slippery and unpredictable in order to keep outwitting the competition. Along those lines, we are thrilled about the return of our former covegirl and No She Didn't columnist Deelishis. Fresh off her temporary hiatus from the entertainment industry, she's back in the game to do her business in a big way.
But don't sleep on the other curvaceous vixens in this issue, like our second covergirl, Ayisha, who is very outspoken about her desire to please her man. Miami jet-setter Kiki is our Breakout feature. She's confident and self-motivated, and she doesn't give a damn what people think about her. Last but not least, there's our current No She Didn't columnist, Dollicia Bryan, who breaks down the do's and don'ts in the bedroom.
As you know, no issue is complete unless we bring you up to date on the hottest entertainers out there, like Trey Songz, who recently graced the silver screen in Texas Chainsaw 3D. We asked him if his love for acting will ever overshadow his love for music, and he summed it up in one sentence. I'd tell you, but it's better if you read it for yourself. And then there’s Joe Budden, who's back on his A-game, whether as a solo artist and personable celebrities we've ever interviewed. As always, we do our best to keep every issue fresh and current, and this one's no different. So keep sending in those letters and giving me your feedback.
